Blackwater comes from the Red Bottom Cheeks and Between His Sleeves clans and is taught by her relatives and matriarchs. Her artistic practice exists at the intersection of traditional and contemporary art and is deeply inspired by her relations, community, and the beauty of her homelands.

Her creative practice extends into her work as a marketing strategist and creative director, where she brings a deep understanding of storytelling, culture, and community to brand strategy, campaign development, and impact marketing. She has worked across fashion, lifestyle, and social impact, supporting organizations through creative campaigns, brand building, and community partnerships.

Whether developing a marketing strategy, shaping the creative vision for a campaign, or creating artwork rooted in community and culture, Blackwater approaches her work with curiosity, care, and intention. Across both her artistic and professional practices, she is interested in creating work that connects people, story, culture, and purpose.
